Features:
- The Graef tamper station, made of high-quality stainless steel, makes it easier for you to tamp the ground coffee and provides a solid base for applying optimum pressure to the ground coffee in the portafilter with the tamper.
- The pressure applied during tamping should be approx. 15 kg (this can be practiced using bathroom scales) for an optimal espresso grind, whereby the tamper should be pressed down evenly and straight from above.
- Tamping creates a straight, evenly compacted surface of the coffee grounds, allowing the water to flow evenly through the coffee grounds at the optimum pressure of approx. 9 bar.
The tamper station can also be inserted into the base of the CM900 coffee grinder. This means that the portafilter is always in a horizontal position during the grinding process, so you no longer have to hold it yourself. This saves time when preparing espresso, as you can make other preparations on your portafilter machine during the grinding process (e.g., frothing milk, etc.).
