Dry Balance Technology

Inside the dehydrator, the Dry Balance Technology lets the temperature constantly fluctuate by +/- 5° C. Due to this technique all food gets evenly dehydrated. The temperature always stays high enough to dehydrate fast, and low enough to preserve enzymes, vitamins and other valuable nutrients

Drawer-design

The included drying racks can be conveniently removed from the front, loaded and reinserted into the dehydrator in different positions (depending on the food being dried and the quantity) just like in an oven.

Adjustable temperatures from 30°C to 70°C

The automatic dryer can be set to the optimum temperature between 35° and 70° C for each dried product.

Today, the DA510 dehydrator from GRAEF uses state-of-the-art technology to create the dry climate required for dehydrating in any kitchen. It adds a particularly healthy component to the trend towards sliced cuisine. Thanks to its size and long running time of up to 40 hours, the appliance dehydrates fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, nuts and much more in almost any desired quantity. It can also be used to make your own yoghurt. This and more makes the DA510 the perfect kitchen helper for anyone who wants to follow a conscious, healthy diet and avoid wasting food as much as possible.

Optimal dehydration thanks to Dry Balance Technology

The dehydrator is smaller than a microwave, but uses less energy than an oven. It can be set to the optimum temperature between 30 °C and 70 °C for each item to be dried, for example 57 °C for fruit, 52 °C for vegetables, herbs and meat or 46 °C to 52 °C for nuts and seeds. The positioning of the DA fan at the rear guarantees even heat distribution. The DA510 comes with ten BPA-free plastic dehydrating grids, which allow different foods to be dehydrated simultaneously but separately from each other.

The highlight of the appliance, another example of the sophisticated GRAEF quality, is the Dry Balance Technology for even heat distribution and air circulation in the dehydrating chamber. This ensures that water is removed evenly and gently from all foods. Depending on the set dehydrating temperature, enzymes, vitamins and other valuable nutrients are preserved.

Tasty, practical, simple and healthy

As usual in the SlicedKitchen, the food is cut into uniformly thin slices before dehydrating - preferably with a GRAEF all-purpose slicer. The thinner the slices are, the better they release their flavours and the easier they are to dry. Finely sliced kiwis, apples, bananas or citrus fruits, sweet potatoes, beetroot, tomatoes - or whatever - the DA510 turns vitamins into natural snacks in just a few hours. For nibbling, muesli or muesli bars, for example. It can also be used to prepare fermented foods, such as a healthy breakfast yoghurt with homemade muesli and fruit crisps as a topping. It transforms pureed fruit into delicious fruit leather and makes softened crackers crispy again. Meat, which is best salted or marinated beforehand, can be dried and turned into flavoursome jerky in less than 6 hours, as can fish. The appliance also makes treats for the four-legged friends in the household. And anyone who harvests fruit, vegetables or herbs from their own garden can use the appliance to easily preserve anything they don't eat fresh.

The advantages of the DA510 are therefore obvious: it saves time and labour, as dehydrating is a very simple, uncomplicated method of preservation. It saves space, as food is lighter and smaller when dried. It saves money, as you can now produce your own dried treats and process perishable food instead of throwing it away. Above all, however, dehydrating is healthy because it preserves vitamins and other nutrients and preserves food without preservatives, artificial colours or flavours or excess salt.

Wir züchten zu Hause einen eigenen Gemüsegarten. Deshalb lieben wir Gemüse und hassen Verschwendung! Selbst schrumpelige Tomaten legen wir in diesen Dörrautomaten und danach schmecken sie wieder lecker und nachhaltig ist es dazu noch. Eine super Sache also!

Dieser Dörrautomat ist so toll. Nach meiner Ernährungsumstellung habe ich nach einem Snack für den Abend gesucht, um nicht mehr auf Schokolade oder Chips zurückzugreifen. In einem Fitnessblog las ich von gedörrtem oder auch Trockenobst, was man mit einem Dörrautomaten leicht selbst machen kann. Eine Freundin aus dem Abnehmkurs hat bereits den Dörrautomaten von Graef und wir haben gemeinsam leckere Obst- und Gemüsesnacks gemacht. Es hat mir so gut gefallen, dass ich den Automaten selbst gekauft habe und nun regelmäßig Snacks zubereite.
